The Hallé Christmas Concert
Stephen Bell
Conductor
Sumudu Jayatilaka & Tom Solomon Vocalists

Count down to Christmas with a concert full of festive cheer from the Hallé Orchestra, conductor Stephen Bell, and two spellbinding singers.

Paul Campbell’s Swinging Christmas Overture brightly begins our gift-packed celebration of Christmas classics; the Wexford Carol, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Christmas Overture, the Carol of the Bells and Ron Goodwin’s White Christmas Overture.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town as we jazz up your Christmas season with festive favourites including the magical Do You Hear What I Hear? and Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song, the sweet Merry Christmas, Darling and the joyful It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

We’ll dash through the snow with Sleigh Rides from both Delius and Anderson, take you on a trip to the North Pole with the Polar Express, and ensure you’re back at home ready for that perfect White Christmas.

We’ll provide the mistletoe for the romantic numbers All I Want for Christmas is You, Christmas Tree Farm and I’ll be Home for Christmas. If you’d like to sing along, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer is bound to stop off at the Royal Concert Hall!
