As preparation for your visit to the Royal Concert Hall, you might find it useful to visit the following websites, which offer fun ways to get to know the instruments of the orchestra, musical games, quizzes and much more.

If you take a good look around one or two of these sites you'll be well prepared for when you see the orchestra on stage on 30 June!

Ten Pieces

Start here! There's a wealth of fun ways to find out more about classical music, with loads of films and interactive content, and suggestions for cross-curricular activities inspired by the music. As we're including Bernstein's Mambo in this year's concert, do take a look at the resources for this piece especially.

The Philharmonia Orchestra's introduction to the instruments of the orchestra - a bit more advanced but you can dip into it to see musicians from the orchestra demonstrating their instruments.
