Arts Award Supporter

The Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall Nottingham is an official Arts Award Welcome centre.

Arts Award logoArts Award is a nationally recognised scheme that supports young people aged from 11 to 25 to develop as artists and art leaders.

Administered by the Arts Council and Trinity Guildhall, Arts Award is offered at three levels - bronze, silver and gold.  At all levels young people have the opportunity to directly engage with the world of arts and to develop their own artistic and communication skills.

As an Arts Award Welcome centre we can now assist young people and their advisors on achieving their arts potential.

As an Arts Award student you may want to consider the following areas where we can help you.

Taking Part

In workshops, summer schools, community theatre programme, young film makers.

Enjoying & Appreciating

We have a wide range of programming at the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall, enabling you to enjoy top-quality and varied entertainment.

Volunteering Or Work Placement

Can be available throughout the year, either through work experience or volunteering on our Summer School programme.

Meeting Arts Professionals

As a touring venue we may not always be able to assist in arranging meetings for you with actors, dancers etc, however our staff are available to discuss their roles within the venue or career paths into the profession.

Showcasing Your Work

Utilise our foyer spaces for exhibitions or some of our smaller spaces for performances.

If any of the above ideas about using the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall are useful, then talk to us. The earlier the better, as our work experience and volunteering programme gets filled incredibly quickly.
